Malachite is a symbol of the deep healing green of nature and represents the innate beauty of flowers, trees, roots and plants. The mineral was popular even many years ago, starting from the ancient Greeks and Romans who used it for jewelry, ornaments, and in powdered form, for eye shadow. In the Middle Ages, it was believed that Malachite protects against the 'Evil Eye' and to helps heal various stomach ailments while the Russian czars used it for ornaments and paneling for their castles, and intricate inlay work.
